Simple Ingredients. Thoughtfully Sourced.
Real ingredients, carefully sourced and chosen to make every bite better.
Our Simple Ingredients
At the heart of every Wilderra blend are five simple ingredients: beef, mushrooms, beef stock, sea salt and kelp. Our burgers start with the same base, finished with a thoughtfully chosen blend of spices for even more flavor.
We believe good food starts with ingredients you recognize and sourcing you can feel good about. From regeneratively raised, grass-fed beef to organic mushrooms and responsibly farmed kelp, we care just as much about where our ingredients come from as what goes into the pack.
No long ingredient lists. No unnecessary extras. Just real food, sourced with intention.

OUR BEEF
Better beef starts with how it’s raised.
We source from ranches practicing regenerative agriculture, an approach that works with nature to support healthier soil, greater biodiversity and stronger, more resilient ecosystems.
By thoughtfully managing animals and the land they graze, regenerative ranching helps give back to the landscapes our food comes from. And with cattle raised on diverse, pasture-based diets, it’s beef we can genuinely feel good about putting in our blend.
How Our Cattle Are Raised
Grass-fed and either grass-finished or holistically finished, depending on the ranch.
Raised on open pastures, where cattle can graze and move naturally.
Sourced from trusted American ranching partners.
Never given antibiotics. Never given added hormones or growth promotants.
Never given mRNA vaccines.
Every ranch follows strict animal welfare standards through Humane Certification or the Country Natural Beef Humane Affidavit.

OUR MUSHROOMS
Why Mushrooms?
They’re not just in the blend. They make the blend better.
Mushrooms are a natural partner to beef. Their rich umami flavor enhances the meat’s savory depth, while their ability to hold moisture helps keep every bite juicy and tender. It’s one of the reasons beef and mushrooms have been paired together in kitchens for generations.
But flavor is only half the story. Mushrooms bring nutritional benefits you simply don’t get from beef alone. They add naturally occurring fiber, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals, helping us create a blend with more goodness built into every bite.
So why mushrooms? More flavor. More juiciness. More nutrition. And a lighter way to enjoy the beef you love.

Where Our Mushrooms Come From
Our certified organic mushrooms are grown in Moss Landing, California, along the Monterey County coastline. Cool ocean air and coastal fog create ideal growing conditions, while the farm combines time-honored growing methods with modern technology to produce consistently high-quality mushrooms.
Because if mushrooms are going to make up half of our blend, we think they deserve just as much attention as the beef.
Meet the Mushrooms
Oyster Mushrooms
Shiitake Mushrooms

Shiitake Mushrooms
Two mushrooms. One better blend.
Oyster mushrooms bring tenderness and balance. Shiitakes bring depth and umami. Together, they’re a big part of what makes Wilderra taste, cook and nourish differently from regular ground beef.
OUR KELP
Why Kelp?
Small ingredient. Mighty addition.
We use just a touch of kelp in Wilderra, but it earns its place. This nutrient-dense sea vegetable is naturally rich in iodine and brings another layer of deep, savory umami, helping us build more flavor without simply reaching for more salt.
A little kelp. A lot more goodness.
Where Our Kelp Comes From
Our kelp comes from Ocean’s Balance in the Gulf of Maine, where it’s grown in nutrient-rich ocean waters without arable land, freshwater or fertilizer.
Ocean’s Balance works with local fishing families to grow kelp alongside their traditional fishing seasons and partners with marine scientists to advance sustainable seaweed cultivation.
It’s an ingredient that asks for surprisingly little while bringing plenty to the blend.
